Ambassador-designates present credentials to His Majesty The King

The Ambassador-designates of Finland, Myanmar, Poland and Sweden to Bhutan presented credentials to His Majesty The King at the throne room in Tashichhodzong today.

Harri Kalle Kämäräinen, the Finish Ambassador to Bhutan started his career with the Foreign Ministry of Finland in 1987. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Ambassador of Finland to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Myanmar’s Ambassador to Bhutan, Moe Kyaw Aung joined the foreign service in 1990. Since then he has undertaken various diplomatic assignments across the world. He took over the current post in November last year.

Ambassador Adam Burakowski joined office as the Ambassador of Poland to Bhutan last year. He holds a PhD degree in political sciences and has authored many books concerning India and Central Europe.

Klas Molin, Swedish Ambassador to Bhutan, started his career in 1983 as a teaching assistant in Political Science. He has Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy and is a recipient of various decorations.

Later in the afternoon, the ambassadors called on the Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay. As part of their visit to present their letter of credence, the ambassadors also met with other cabinet ministers.
